Job Description

  • Responsible for providing support for the administrative and maintenance duties of the various accounting software packages that LKQ utilizes.  This software consists of (but is not limited to) Cognos, Oracle, and Trintech.  
  • Coordinate the updating and maintenance of the various accounting software products. 
  • Role will be responsible for assisting with implementation and user training of these systems across all LKQ lines of Business. Individual will also provide assistance with development and testing of future information needs of the organization to best utilize these software tools.
  • This will include being the “first responder” to help resolve requests from end users.
  • Ongoing Training and support for new and existing users across all LKQ lines of business.
  • Support and/or drive standardization within the systems to maximize efficiency and utility of the software.
  • Assist financial leadership with ensuring relevant policies are properly documented and standardized wherever possible.
  • Assist with the development of reporting and processes to allow further utilization of system resources.
  •  Work with various departments to develop best practices related to the use of the software packages or overall workflow processes.
  • Seek out industry best practices to implement at LKQ.
  • Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ Corporation, Inc. quality improvement system.
  • Assist with certain accounting functions throughout the month.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: BS/BA in Business, MBA, or other advanced degree in Business.  An Accounting degree or emphasis is preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must have good written and verbal communication skills.  Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel

    MACHINES, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE: Computer, 10-key calculator, multi-user telephone system, copier, fax machine, and Microsoft Office software.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and be attentive to detail.
