Job Description

Supervises hourly employees in daily production and/or assembly operations. Responsible for daily production reports. Assists in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2000 procedures in his/her respective department(s). Instills and promotes employee safety. Ensures employees are properly trained, production schedules are met, documentation is completed in a timely manner, communicates and cooperates with other departments, encourages process and quality improvements, assesses employees' abilities and coaches to achieve maximum potential, conveys messages from upper management, and makes daily work assignments as required.

Job Requirements

Experience/ Skills: 1 year supervisory or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment, good communication and basic math skills. Computer skills preferred.

Equipment Used: General office equipment to include but not limited to fax, phone, copier, personal computer, and precision measuring equipment and tools used for production.

Safety/Safety of Others: Must wear all company required personal protective equipment in required areas. Care necessary to avoid placing self and others in an unsafe environment.

Quality of Work: Provide quality products and services to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. Quality of work impacts succeeding operations.

Physical Demand: Requires continuous physical effort; short work cycles; repetitive motion work. Standing 80%, walking 20%. Regularly lifts, pushes, pulls an average of 60 lb. Occasionally, 40 lb. Frequently, and 20 lb. Constantly.

Work Environment: Exposures to atmospheric conditions, such as dust, fumes, varying temperature extremes. Exposure to noise and various chemicals.
