Job Description

  • The Outside Sales Representative must analyze performance reports and develop sales business plans.
  • This position also works well with diverse customers, and deals with customer complaints in a timely manner and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Analyze performance reports and develop sales business plans.
  • Use database information to understand sales/account information and be responsive to credit issues.
  • Calculate discounts and profit associated with selling price.
  • View the business from both the organization's point of view and the customer's point of view; create seamless relationships with customers.
  • Work well with diverse customers, deal with customer complaints in a timely manner and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Keep internal and external customer needs paramount when making decisions and taking actions.
  • Effectively manage expenses.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience.
  • 4-year degree in business, management, marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of previous sales accomplishments, including the achievement of numerous metrics such as unit and margin targets in a highly competitive industry.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • U.S. driver's license with an excellent DMV record is required.
  • Think beyond current customer base; understand the market forces the organization faces as well as the organization's customers, potential customers and competitors.
  • Persistence to overcome obstacles, take immediate action to solve problems and ensure follow-through.
  • Reputation for honesty, candor, fairness and reliability: do what you say you will do and make your position clear on difficult issues.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bingual (Spanish/English) a plus
