Job Description

As a part of our continued growth we are looking for a dedicated and passionate Shipping Clerk. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to pull and stock drive train parts from vehicles in a warehouse. As a Warehouse Clerk you will be operating an order picker and forklift. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail, work well with others, be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers always. Essential Job Duties:

  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling parts off shelves (both by hand, order picker, forklift); packing boxes, preparing pallets, and preparing shipments; placing orders into delivery area and onto delivery trucks (both by hand and with a forklift). Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products and materials using a forklift.
  • Inspect each pallet and or case for proper quantities, items brands, and lot codes (as applicable) damages and follow any special instructions on Work Assignment Form and /or additional documentation.
  • Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests
  • Record receipts to appropriate forms and/or log books.
  • Verify that proper documentation is attached.
  • Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments and record indirect time in a timely manner.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area.
  • Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines.
  • Support all operational processes and procedures to ensure value to the customer and compliance with all LKQ policies, customer requirements and federal/state/local regulations.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers always.
  • Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience: High School Diploma, one year of experience in a warehouse setting, forklift experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Basic Knowledge of vehicles and parts, basic computer skills, willingness to work in an outdoors environment.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Light lifting, standing most of the work day, working in the elements

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Word, Excel Outlook, Windows, Mobile and similar windows based programs. Ability to recognize and identify automotive Parts. Knowledge of the ARA Damage Locator Chart.
