Automotive Parts Cashier

Job Summary:  

An AutomotiveParts Cashier greets and assistscustomers with their purchases and provides answers to their generalquestions, deals with receiving payments from customers who have bought partsor some fluids/oils that is needed by their cars. An automotive partscashier handles transactions with regard to anything that is being sold inan automotive store or shop

Essential Job Duties:

•            Identify the parts being purchased.

  • Assign all parts to be purchased with part numbers for correct pricing.

  • Mark all parts.

  • Receive payment for parts being bought and issue correct change.

•            Assist customers with questions.

•            Issue interchanges for specificparts that the customer may be looking for.

•            Ensure all customers entering thefacility have signed and placed birth date on waiver.

•            Inspect all toolboxes and bagsentering the facility for parts, and mark all parts.

•            Inspect all toolboxes and bagsbefore customer exits for any parts not paid for.

•            Keep working area clean and hazardfree.

•            Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Training will be provided in all facets of the position we also offer a competitive Benefit program

Education & Experience:  Sound Automotive Parts knowledge required. Must have cash handling experience. Minimum of a H.S. diploma.  Bi-Lingual skills a plus but not required


Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the Automotive Parts business. Excellent communication and Customer Service skills. Basic computer skills needed. Multi lingual helpful. Good problem solving skills. Ability to work on fast paced environment

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Standing for extended periods of time is required. Some lifting up to 30 Lbs. required. Ability to multi-task and attention to detail. While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle objects and tools; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
