LKQ Pick-Your-Part of Charlotte NC is seeking qualified individuals to fill the position of Car Buyer/Sales Cashier:

Car Buyers/ Sales Cashier are responsible for all faces of acquiring a used-car, appraise vehicles, understand vehicle condition, and insures timely processing of all purchases.

Additionally, greets and assists customers with their purchases and provides answers to their general questions, deals with receiving payments from customers. Handles transactions with regard to anything that is being sold.

The position delivers a premium customer experience by responding to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate and courteous manner. 

This position requires working in a fast-paced team environment, being effective as a self-starter and working individually as needs dictate

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Car Buyer

  • Respond to all inquiries with courtesy, accuracy and professionalism.

  • Generate leads and purchase appointments.

  • Compile all necessary reports, forms and other documentation on a timely basis.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Exhibit superior ethical behavior.

  • Provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction and be honest in all aspects of dealing with customers.

As Sales Cashier

  • Identify the parts being purchased.

  • Assign all parts to be purchased with part numbers for correct pricing.

  • Mark all parts.

  • Receive payment for parts being bought and issue correct change.

  • Assist customers with questions.

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have a basic understanding of the automotive industry.

  • Knowledge Office Suite computer skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

  • Excellent analytical and valuation skills, with a strong process orientation.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to read and comprehend rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the car market.

  • Must have reliable transportation.
