LKQ Pick-Your-Part of Monrovia is seeking qualified individuals to fill the following position:

Car Buyers are responsible for all faces of acquiring a used-car inventory through, direct contacts, generated leads, off site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers or any other available avenues.

Car Buyers appraise vehicles, understand vehicle condition, negotiate price, make financially sound purchasing decisions, and insures timely processing of all purchases.

Buyers are responsible for understanding retail trends and participating in the inventory planning process.

Car buyers deliver a premium customer experience by responding to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate and courteous manner.  This highly accountable position uses lead management tools.

This position requires working in a fast-paced team environment, being effective as a self-starter and working individually as needs dictate

 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all inquiries with courtesy, accuracy and professionalism.

  • Generate leads and purchase appointments.

  • Meet identified car buying quotas.

  • Understand market tendencies and the changes to the trends in all geographic areas.

  • Develop effective working relationships with the all purchasing venues to accelerate the placement of ideal inventory in an expeditious and cost effective manner.

  • Effectively utilize lead management tools.

  • Compile all necessary reports, forms and other documentation on a timely basis.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Exhibit superior ethical behavior.

  • Provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction and be honest in all aspects of dealing with customers

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have a sound understanding of current used car market and pricing.

  • Knowledge Office Suite computer skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

  • Excellent analytical and valuation skills, with a strong process orientation.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to read and comprehend rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the used car market.

  • Must have reliable transportation.
