We are currentlylooking for a Delivery Driver to joinour established and growing company, atour location near San Antonio, Texas.  Theschedule for this full-time position is M– F 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, or to completion of route.

 

Please note, due to DOT requirements, the minimum agefor this position is 21 years of ageCDL is NOT required, but preferred.

JobSummary: Operates a Company vehicle to deliver product to customers.Manually loads and unloads delivery truck, verifies parts loaded andunloaded, collects payments from customers, obtains signatures from receivinglocations confirming accuracy of parts unloaded/loaded and delivers returneditems back to the branch.

EssentialJob Duties:

1.Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manneravoiding traffic violations and accidents.

2.Physically loads Company truck at the branch and verifies the condition ofthe truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the deliveriesto be made.

3.Drives to the delivery destination and physically unloads the truck,verifies parts unloaded, obtains signature of receiving location confirmingthe accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received and signs offon the integrity of what was loaded at the location.

4. Makesproper notations on the manifest and provides receipts on parts beingreturned from customers to the branch.

5. Picksup buy out purchase orders from vendors on vendor “fill in' purchase ordersand delivers parts back to the branch or customer.

6.Collects accounts receivable, as necessary.

7. Worksin such a manner as to prevent shortages and damage to products.

8.Complies with established Company policies and procedures.

9.Assumes other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

BasicQualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education,Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):

Education and Experience: High School graduate or G.E.D.equivalent preferred. Some college coursework is desired. Minimum of sixmonths driving and warehouse operations experience. Possess a valid driver’slicense and safe driving record. Must qualify for Corporate insuranceprograms, including vehicle insurance. Must meet Department of Transportation(DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOTregulations when/as required. Please note, due toDOT requirements, the minimum age for this position is 21 years of ageCDL is NOT required, butpreferred.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Possesscomprehensive knowledge of replacement parts for the aftermarket collisionrepair industry. Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with theCompany’s warehouse and delivery methods, techniques and procedures. Possessthe ability to perform basic math calculations, interpret road maps,effectively communicate on an interpersonal verbal basis and proficiently usetelephones. Must be able to work in cooperation with others. Must beattentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be able tocommunicate effectively with others.

 

EssentialPhysical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires sitting,standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing andascending/descending stairs. Requires sitting for relatively long periods oftime, while driving. It also requires frequent bending, climbing, movementand lifting of up to 75 pounds during physical loading/unloading of trucksand when stocking products.

Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed tomoving mechanical parts, as well as an office environment. The employee isoccasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in thework environment is moderately loud. Should not have any lifting restrictionsand must not be afraid of heights. Should be able to tolerate high and lowtemperature levels and occasional in climate driving conditions. Must havethe flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends.
