We are currently looking for a Dispatch Assistant (Lead) to join our establishedand growing company at our location in Austin, Texas.  The schedule for this full time position is M – F, 5:00 am – 2:00 pm (or until last driver is manifested).

Job Summary: The Dispatch Assistant isresponsible for performing day-to-day activities of the Delivery/DispatchDepartment in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards,guidelines, and regulations governing this facility, and as may be directedby the Dispatch Manager to assist in assuring that the Delivery/DispatchDepartment runs in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.

 Essential Job Duties:

1. Dispatching trucks and all orders to be processed.

2. Making sure parts are delivered in a timely manner.

3. Ensure that all vendors’ parts are correctly processed percompany policy.

4. Ensure that all returns to vendors are done correctlyfollowing company policy.

5. Make sure drivers arrive at work on time, loaded, and onthe road.

6. Keep current on truck maintenance.

7. To ensure that Pos and Q-10s are with the correct invoices.

8. To ensure that the parts are correctly pulled and invoiced.

9. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications (MinimumRequired Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, EssentialPhysical Demands):


Education & Experience: HighSchool Diploma or GED



1. General knowledge of auto parts.

2. Must have proficient ability to read, write, and understandthe English Language.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:

1. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently duringworking hours.

2. Drug free office environment.

Decision Making Examples: Must be able to deal tactfully with subordinates,co-workers, and the general public.
