LKQ Pick-Your-Part of Riverside is seeking dynamic and qualified individuals to fill the following           position in our plant located at 3760 Pyrite Street Riverside CA .



                                                      General Office Administrator



Job Summary: Responsible for all administrative support to Plant and Operational manager. This position performs complex, responsible, specialized, and highly confidential administrative work. Oversees general office maintenance as appropriate and needed.




Essential Job Duties:


1.     Interprets administrative policy and decisions as explained and directed.


2.     Performs advanced clerical functions. 


3.     Does daily cash reconciliation and assist cahiers with various cash handling functions


4.     Independently composes and replies to correspondence in accordance with plant procedures.  


5.     Prepares records and reports, takes telephone calls and answers inquiries, opens and sorts mail, composes correspondence independently and maintains records and files.  Maintains accounting and plant bookkeeping records, processes direct pays, purchase orders, purchasing requests, etc.


6.     Maintains professional relationships with vendors, requests quotes on, equipment, and supplies as needed.


7.     Channels trouble calls to appropriate personnel for prompt, efficient handling.  Operates standard office machines and personal computers, 2-way radios and other electronic media devices, as needed.


8.     Provide arrangements for office services and maintenance such as coffee, water service, vending machines, pagers, etc.


9.     Assumes other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):



 



Education & Experience: High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.  College coursework desired.





Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Solid cash handling experience. Must demonstrate good interpersonal and telephone communication skills. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Have prior general office experience. Must be able to work in cooperation with others.  Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.  Must possess good organizational and time management skills. Must have the ability to prioritize and take initiative.





Machines, Equipment, and Software: Computer, 10-key calculator, multi-user telephone system, copier, fax machine, postage machine, printer, e-mail, internet, Corel Draw and Microsoft Office software.





Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position may require lifting of up to 25 pounds.  Must be able to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and be attentive to details.
