Job Description





LKQ Pick-Your-Part of Monrovia is seeking qualified individuals to fill the following position:




Position: General Yard worker



RESPONSABILITIES



  • Remove all fluids, lubricants and components (i.e. converters) as required in a safe and efficient manner, finalize and prepare car for placement in the yard.



  • Have some basic mechanical skills



  • Pull batteries to be tested for possible resale.



  • Bring various items such as batteries, wheels and tires to the retail area.



  • Assist the Loader Operator to stage cars or pull cards in properly in the customer yard.



  • Maintain the yard by placing any parts of other items that are in the ground into the cars or bins.



  • After vehicles are removed from the yard making sure there is no rubble or parts left on the ground.



  • Dismantle tires form rims, and stage tires and rims to the proper location



  • Ability to operate of be trained to operate a fork lift.



  • Arrange and prepare tires for dismantling.



  • Dismantle tires form rims.



  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.



  • Must have flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends



  • Assumes other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School of G.E. D. preferred



  • Must be able to work outdoors subject to inclement weather (heat/cold) year round.



  • Ability to use basic tools



  • Experience in and industrial setting preferred



  • Able to stand for long periods of time, walk, push, pull, climb and be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds regularly, without assistance.
