Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing primary contact of walk-in counter sale customers as well as phone contact sales, coordinates in-house order filling activity to achieve Keystone excellent customer service.

Essential Job Duties:
1. Maintain friendly and frequent contact with all customers coming to counter for sales, implementing suggestive selling, as appropriate and assists with problem solving and maintaining open communication.
2. Order any out of stock, special order items, create purchase orders, transfers, and follow up with customers by phone calls to completion of invoice.
3. Maintain orderly files and clean records of all transactions, as well as accurate cash drawer.
4. Observe changes in inventory as to insure minimum stock levels and store showroom appearance is appropriate
5. Works with warehouse personnel to insure tickets are printed and parts are pulled in a timely fashion to insure customers’ parts are ready in a timely fashion to achieve Keystones excellent level of customer service.
6. Solicits new accounts using every means available to seek out new business and rebuilds old accounts by researching former customer listings.
7. Initiate and support the continual improvement of Keystone Automotive Industries' quality improvement system
8. Assumes other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):

Education & Experience
: To perform this job this job successfully, an individual must have a strong customer service background. Must be able to communicate effectively. High School or G.E.D. Equivalent preferred. College coursework desired. Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts preferred. Two to three years of prior customer service relations preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Prior automotive experience is preferred. Strong customer service background. Strong people skills. The ability to upsell and get customer to try new products. Problem solving ability.

Machines, Equipment, and Software: Computer, 10-Key calculator, multi-user telephone system, copier, fax machine Microsoft Office software.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must have the ability to work in an environment where frequent interruptions may occur. Must be able to work under pressure comfortably. May be required to move/lift up to 75 pounds.
