Job Description

Job Summary: The Sales Assistant is responsible for performing the day-to-day activities
of the Sales Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards,
guidelines, and regulations governing this facility, and as may be directed by the Sales Manager
to assure that the Sales Department is run in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. Additionally, the Sales Assistant is responsible for increasing sales and improving customer service.

Essential Job Duties:
1. Write orders for customers of sales reps
2. Request quotes from vendors
3. Take customer phone calls on behalf of sales reps
4. Be available to assist sales representatives in a variety of situations
5. Assist sales manager on various projects
6. Cold call new and inactive accounts.
7. Help customers with credits, replacement bills.
8. Mail out info packets, thank-you cards, and any info letters.
9. Any customer service related tasks to support sales pod.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):
Education & Experience
: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Associate college degree (or higher) and/or verifiable sales background preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrate knowledge of autos/trucks. Clear and professional communication skills: written, oral & interpersonal. Good Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task. Self-motivated and goal orientated. Decision making and negotiating skills. Must display a positive and friendly attitude as well as proper behavior during work hours.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Subject to frequent interruptions. Usually works in an office setting.
